Voluntary Benefits
Often an employer would like to offer dental, life or disability insurance to their employees but is unable to pay the entire premium. Voluntary plans are a great way to offer employees benefits without having to fund all, or even any, of the premium.
125 Cafeteria Plans
Section 125 Plans are easy to set-up and are relatively inexpensive. Employees may put pre-tax money aside to pay for non-reimbursed medical expenses and childcare. Over the counter drugs and ointments now qualify for reimbursement under Section 125, as do elective surgeries such as lasik procedures. This provides even more flexibility and benefits for employees. Depending on the employee’s tax bracket, they can save up to 30% on these necessary expenses.
Premium-Only Plans
Premium-Only Plans (POP) allow employees to fund insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars. The tax savings can be substantial and are a great incentive to put a group plan in place. If your group does not currently have a POP in place, contact us immediately.
